Restaurant Review: The Butcher’s Daughter

Details: Located at 581 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10014. The official site is https://www.thebutchersdaughter.com/

The Butcher’s Daughter is a vegetarian restaurant and juice bar. I came here for brunch and enjoyed this place about as much as I’ve enjoyed most vegetarian/vegan places.

The Butcher’s daughter is a trendy restaurant in a trendy location. That’s generally the kind of people who like brunch anyway.

The space is kind of small and cramped. We came during a busy time, so it was even more cramped than usual.

I had the Monterey Eggs (two sunnyside up eggs, smashed avocado, market salsa. toast and potato hash) for sixteen dollars. The food was meh. It’s brunch, which is already repetitive and uninspired. Add in the vegetarian part and the number of ingredients they can use dwindles down to an unimaginative amount. They do serve real eggs though.

The service was fine.

Overall, it was okay. Kind of pricey for what was being served, but exactly what I expect for a vegetarian place with such a trendy location. If you need to have vegetarian brunch, this is a fine choice I guess.
