Restaurant Review: Dig Inn

Details: Located at 40 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019, among other locations. The official site is https://www.diginn.com/

Dig Inn is a fast casual American style restaurant. Think Chipotle style assembly line service with slightly higher quality, healthier, American style food.

They’ve got a seasonal menu, but the primary dishes stay the same. You start by picking your starch or rice, faro, or salad. Then you pick from a variety of sides or mostly vegetables, dishes like Cesar kale salad, sweet potatoes or macaroni and cheese. Then you pick your protein, which is usually, chicken thigh, chicken breast, steak, meatballs, fish, or tofu. I think chicken thigh is the cheapest and fish the most expensive. You can also pick a dressing at the end. Total prices range from around eleven dollars for the cheapest item to somewhere around fourteen for the more expensive items.

The food is pretty good. I generally come here when I feel like eating something a little healthier than what I normally eat. It’s kind of pricey, but I think worth it.

Additionally, the midtown west location I usually has started to only take credit cards, which is annoying. Keep in mind that this place gets packed with a line out the door during weekday lunches. You can avoid the line by either coming before or after peak times or ordering online and then coming by to pick it up.
